Hair Transplant using the CHOI Method

Minimally invasive hair restoration

Hair transplant using FUE CHOI

With the CHOI hair transplant method, hair follicles can be implanted directly. This is the newest and most advanced method for hair follicle transplantation as of 2020.

Using the CHOI hair transplant technique, a large number of follicles can be transplanted in a single treatment day, which usually meets our patients’ needs in the best possible way. The follicles are implanted one by one in a controlled manner, creating a completely natural appearance with minimal invasiveness.

At CHOIEXPERT, our doctors personally perform the manual extraction of the follicles according to the patient’s needs and the required type of treatment.

The hair transplant method used by our doctors is more advanced than the classic FUE and FUT techniques.

Each hair follicle is placed in a specific direction, angle, and depth, under a strict treatment protocol and using the CHOI implanter. Its development in the field of hair transplantation has greatly contributed to achieving a flawless appearance when combining the CHOI + FUE techniques.

In this way, exceptionally natural results and a very high transplanted hair growth rate can be achieved, as we guarantee over 90% hair growth for every patient with full commitment.

The transplanted hair continues to grow more resiliently and sheds much more slowly (if at all) than the natural hair that previously existed in the area, since the DNA structure of the follicles in the donor area is not affected by the DHT hormone, which causes hair follicle miniaturization.

Advantages of Hair Transplantation Using the CHOI Method

Among the advantages highlighted by top hair restoration experts: reduced graft time outside the body ensures strong and healthy placement and higher survival rates of hair follicles; reduced bleeding during creation of the recipient area; minimized trauma during graft handling, causing less damage to blood supply; faster post-operative recovery allowing patients to quickly return to their daily routine; and no need to shave the recipient area, as this procedure allows it.

The CHOI Hair Transplant Process – Precision, Innovation, and Natural Results

During a CHOI hair transplant procedure, the specialist doctor transfers the collected grafts into the CHOI implanter. The graft is gently inserted into a hollow needle positioned at the tip of the CHOI pen, in preparation for injecting the follicle into the thinning area.

Next, the doctor inserts the needle into the scalp at a precise angle of 40–45 degrees, and in the second step injects the graft by pressing the plunger downward.

During the procedure, typically 2 to 6 CHOI implanters are used per patient. CHOI implanters are available in sizes ranging from 0.6 to 1.0 mm to perfectly accommodate all types of follicles, as each person’s follicles differ in thickness and shape.

The CHOI method naturally offers advantages over the basic FUE technique, including the ability to achieve better density, complete control over the direction of hair growth, and a less invasive procedure that results in at least 50% faster healing compared to other existing hair transplant techniques.

Disadvantages of Hair Transplantation Using the CHOI Method

The disadvantages compared to the basic FUE method include: the doctor and staff require extensive training to specialize in this technique; it is generally more expensive than other hair transplant methods; it demands greater attention and maximum precision during the procedure; and only a doctor specialized in CHOI hair transplantation should perform it.
